Deploying Smart Contract can get you Airdrop Allocations. Here's how ποΈ
Good Morning/Evening/Night ππ
Welcome to CryptoCult, the newsletter packed with more caffeine than coffee to keep you hyped on crypto! π
So, what's on the menu for today?
π A new airdrop allocation criteria that no one is talking about
While airdrop grinding through transactions, bridges and dApps is great - did you know deploying smart contracts could boost your chances? π€
In this letter, we'll explore if writing code can get you airdrops and how to do it (Even if you donβt know how to code)! π¨βπ»
What is a Smart Contract?
Think of a smart contract like a virtual vending machine π³οΈ
But, instead of dispensing snacks, it handles the exchange of money, assets, or anything of value.
These are pieces of code stored on a blockchain that run automatically when certain conditions are met.
For example, a smart contract could automatically release insurance payouts if flight delays pass a set length. Or it could transfer cryptocurrency between accounts when an agreed deadline passes.
The key is they eliminate middlemen and run exactly as programmed without any chance of downtime, censorship, or third-party interference.
Unlike a traditional contract, smart contracts are:
Self-executing - they run when triggered without needing human intervention
Tamper-proof - the code is immutable once deployed on the blockchain
Transparent - anyone can inspect the logic powering the contract
So in summary, smart contracts are automation and agreements on the blockchain, providing trust, efficiency, and flexibility.
Does deploying smart contract boost Airdrop allocation?
With the exponential rise in the number of Airdrop hunters projects are forced to make the wallet selection criteria more and more tougher.
First they made bridging compulsory, then number of transactions mattered then cumulative volume mattered too. Now a days deploying at least 1 contract has become a norm to not miss allocation in a Airdrop hence itβs high time to learn how itβs done!
Recently Scroll a Layer 2 solution on Ethereum with funding of $80M and valuation $1.8B announced they will launch a NFT collection exclusively to contract deployers .Keep reading all steps shall be discussed.
2 Main ways to deploy a Contract
Using a No-code Tool [Easiest]
Using a IDE though code
We shall go over both step by step..
1. Using No-code Tool [Easiest]
For this method no coding is required, itβs very easy, you can think of this as Wordpress in website building.
The platform we shall use for this is Thirdweb
Go to : https://thirdweb.com/dashboard/contracts/deploy
Connect Metamask Wallet
Verify Email if it asks to
If asked to give payment info click on βIβll do this laterβ
Go to Deploy contract
Click on any type of contract for example a βNFT dropβ
Then click on βdeploy nowβ blue button
Give a name, symbol, description, image
Make sure the network selected below is scroll
Finally click on deploy now, and approve 2 transactions and itβs Done!
Now you can deploy standard contracts on most popular networks!
Now shall also be eligible to mint the Scroll Origins NFT
Check here :- https://scroll.io/developer-nft/check-eligibility
The earlier you deploy the better NFT you shall receive, hence do it fast!

2.Β Β Using a IDE though code
An IDE is an integrated development environment, basically the place where we shall write and execute our code.
We will use the Remix IDE this time.
Go to β https://remix.ethereum.org/
Click on the "contracts" button and then select "1_Storage.sol"
Then click on the "Solidity Compiler" icon on the left side of the panel
Click on the "Compile 1_Storage.sol" button
Then click on the "Deploy & run transactions" icon on the panel
Select "Injected provider-Metamask" in the Enviroment field, confirm the connection of the wallet and click "Deploy" (the Scroll network must be selected in the wallet, or what ever network you wanna deploy in);
Thatβs it we have deployed a contract using remix IDE, now if you you are a dev and know coding make sure to make more complex and useful contracts : )
Top 5 chains to deploy a contract Right Now!
1.Β Β Scroll
2.Β Β Zksync
3.Β Β Base
4.Β Β Starknet
5.Β Β Linea Mainnet
Thatβs it for today! Do share this letter with your crypto buddies :)
